Definitely a lot better than The Enchanter Heir. I do feel like this would've benefitted from being a sequel series; the stuff about Thorn's End was just a whole speedrun at the end and definitely could've used some proper build up. I liked Emma and Jonah a lot more here than the last installment.

3.5 stars! This was the last in the second arc of this series and it was all just “good” to me. It wasn’t bad but it didn’t blow me away either. I was satisfied by the ending but these extra two book in the series just felt unnecessary to me.

Great ending to a great series. I thought this book was a little stronger than The Enchanter Heir. Highly recommend the entire Heir Series (and the Seven Realms series).

Not once has a writer ever captivated readers through the use of music (which is only on the page) and plot. However the reader must wait for the next installment in the series, to really see where this story will crescendo.

Book five of a five book series. The showdown. Wizards, sorcerers, zombies, warriors.....wow, what a letdown.
I had to force myself to keep reading this snoozer of a book.
Didn't care about the characters.
Didn't care about the plot (what there was of it).
No tension.
No character development.
I really liked the first four books in the series but felt that so many things went wrong in this final book.

Great series... I did thoroughly enjoy it. Each book builds upon the last until this final all-epic novel.
They still don't win out over Seven/Shattered realms in my heart though...
