awesome

Gah, this story just keeps getting better. Dang, I have no clue why I waited to read this, but it is fantastic, way more character growth in this book, more world building, and I’m here for it.

Okay so I just need to start this book by saying I NOW OFFICIALLY HATE DYLAN!!!!
Thank you B. L. Brunnemer for making it so easy to hate him in this book. The dude can't take no for an answer and someone needs to beat his ass.
Now, moving on, Lexie's relationships with the guys continue to grow in this book. She is developing a couple serious crushes and is kinda freaking out about it, but I cannot wait til they're all together!!!
But, this book was really tough on Lexie and her guys. While moving on from their old relationships, Lexie starts getting tons of attention from a secret admirer who, to put it lightly, isn't crazy about the guys. Things escalate to stalking and with so many guys seemingly interested in Lexie, I actually couldn't figure out who it was until the very end.
Lexie is such a tough, kick ass character, but her heart is so big that in some cases she can be way too forgiving. She put up with too much for too long, trying to protect the guys and keep them happy, and by the end of the book, she needs their support because she can't be as strong as she has been. Her experiences in this book are traumatizing and tough to read, but I know she's gonna pull through in the end. Lexie won't give up that easily!

I never know where the story is headed when reading a work of B.L. Brunnemer, all I actually know is that she never leads the reader in the wrong direction. And the same held true throughout this novel. Once again I was wowed by just how vivid Brunnemer created her story, characters, and everything in between. I fell in love with this series during the first novel, How to Live With the Dead, and have only fallen more deeply with every novel after.
In this novel there is definitely more development between the characters and their relationships. The bonds grew tighter as I fell more in love with all of Lexie's best guys. How could any normal person choose between Miles and Zeke and Ash and Ethan and Isaac and even some other guys outside the main group. I mean, we all kind of want a friend like Jake right? But I mean, these characters were crafted so well that even with all of their differences, I still want her to end with every single one of them. I love their relationships and bonds, and how each action they take is for the best of the group and each other. I can't help get caught up in this series because these characters are so amazing and I love how the author created their stories to compliment each other and create a character that best suites Lexie and her past.
You really can't go wrong with this series because every moment was crafted to surprise the reader and lead the story in a direction that's unexpected and yet better than I could have ever imagined. I am completely obsessed with this series and I have no idea what I'm going to do while waiting for the next novel to be released. This series has seriously affected how I see and read other novels and trying to find one that matches the mastery of this one and hits all of those key points will definitely be a challenge!
So here's hoping that the next book magically releases within the next 24 hours!! <3 <3
