I was going to give it 3-stars... a "high three"... but bumped it - rounded up - to 4 after I read the author notes at the end. Wise or unwise? It made me appreciate the book more in retrospect.
It might not be the most original idea, but "originality" is not the only way to make a good book. Story was pretty good, I liked the characters and art. Ok, well, I can't say I liked Nick Wilson much, the good looking jock cool kid who, through no effort or qualifications, gets superpowers. That he suddenly lost those superpowers, well I admit I feel like that's just desserts. At no point was I rooting for him. But I still liked the book. The writer hinted at maybe more to come. I hope there is, I'd like to read it.

Nothing completely earth shattering, but enough to charm to make it.
Nick is someone that you can actually believe could be real. There were a few genuinely lovely moments
