Liked heather, that’s it. She carried. Jude was less insufferable tho, which was nice to see. Cannibal grandmother was confusing, overall. Fucking weird cArcrash of a series I couldn’t look away from smh

I had so much fun reading this series. My love for the characters and story grew with each book. I love a good character driven book and the more gray the characters the better! But luckily this book had a nice balance of great characters, plot and romance.

The plot is always full of schemes and twists that kept me on the edge of my seat and not wanting to put the book down. Besides the characters, I love the schemes and plotting. It reminds me of what was good about Game of Thrones. Except unlike for Game of Thrones, the Folk or Air series has a good ending!

Everything is wrapped up well and all questions are answered. It’s been awhile since a series has ended that smoothly for me, so that was a nice surprise.

A satisfying finish to an intense trilogy.

I would have enjoyed a bit more detail and found some spaces in general through the three skimmed over. The first book was great fun. The second was even better. The third stayed well tied with the second. The twists and turns were wonderful in all of the books.

I would lean toward four or four and a half stars for grazing of moments that could have used more description, but the trilogy was so nicely wrapped up that it didn't feel right to deny it the full five stars.

I'm glad I took the dive into the Folk of the Air, and thoroughly enjoyed the world that Holly Black created around these characters. I know some find the integrity of the characters frustrating (unlikable people) but I find the flaws only more enticing and interesting.

I'll be keeping these on my bookshelf and I foresee at least one reread in the future.
