I did not like Desiree, and the story was so formulaic and generic, and I was put to sleep at times....

This is definitely my favorite book in the entire series. Cause who doesn’t like hearing a sexy ass black man say “give it to me” while handling your business???? The man was so smooth

Another book down in the Fall For a Rose series. These books do have a tendency to be a bit formulaic which makes them slightly predictable, but for the most part I do enjoy them.

Only If You Darefollows the romance between Desiree and Julian. Desiree is the older sister of Claudia who we get to see in book two of the series. Desiree is thinking about returning back to Chicago as a journalist when she gets the opportunity to work closely with Julian on one of his projects. The two meet in book two so we get to see their original connection there, but you don't have to read that book to enjoy them as characters in this book. It's clear that Desiree and Julian have a lot of chemistry; however, as with a lot of SNN's books in this series and the In the Heart of a Valentine series, our heroine isn't emotionally stable. Desiree is dealing with severe abandonment issues and it affects the potential relationship that she has with Julian. There's great chemistry between the two characters and I like that most of this book took place outside of the US. However, I wasn't a huge fan of the subplots. Because the abandonment issues that Desiree had were so deep rooted, I would have preferred to see her work through those and then deal with someone who was stalking her and her friends as well as the introduction of another model to potentially ruin their relationship. This was an enjoyable read, but it does follow the same pattern as most of the books in these two series.
