I loved this book. It reminded me a lot of her book Public Secrets, but with actors instead of musicians. The characters were great and it was easy and fast to read.

this was a really good book that had some significant issues. i loved the writing so so much, roberts’ style is beautiful and her characters are extremely vivid. the plot was super compelling, and i really enjoyed the romance. however, i had problems with the pacing and i thought the ending was ultimately unsatisfying. that being said, im a nora roberts convert and will definitely be reading more from her.

This book had a lot going on, almost too much going on. I couldn’t stay interested and it took me forever to finish.

Love reading Nora Roberts. This one is about a kidnapping, a mother obsessed and the friendship and love between Cate and Dillon.

Audiobook. I enjoyed the characters in this book. The story was good but I wanted so much more from the ending!! To have such a quick lackluster ending the book should have been shorter.

Nora Roberts never disappoints! So much family dynamics packed into one book. Story of a very rich , famous talented close knit family rallying around a little girl experiencing utter betrayal by her own mother and how the family as a whole handled it grew from it and moved on and up with their lives as the mother tries to wallow and make everyone feel sorry for her. Little girl grows into a beautiful strong independent woman despite the mother’s betrayal with the ultimate payback of living her life to the fullest not dwelling on what happened and going on to be happy, well-adjusted and loved. Of course a few twists and turns and surprises sprinkled throughout the story to keep you interested until the very end.

Couldn’t finish. Found myself forcing to go from 50% to 60% and just gave up. The dialogue was way too formal and completely missed how young people talk. This was also just a mash up of some of her earlier and better books. I rarely just give up on books, especially ones I’m over halfway through but this was just bad. Could have gotten past the plot if it weren’t for how badly every relationship was written.
