This was SUCH a slow burn.
It took more than 5/6 of the book before the characters expressed romantic feelings for one another.
The few issues I have with this are:
I needed more Karina!
And I had issues with the banter.
I get the flirtatious insults, but I draw the line at body-shaming somebody. Lukov body-shamed Jas, especially in figure skating, which has such a high chance of EDs, and I found that to be so incredibly toxic.

Extremely slow, which I know is Zapata's style but this one was hard to get into I almost gave up. Least favorite of her books so far. It's hard to live in the main character's head because she can be very unlikeable, but that's part of her character and she acknowledges it. I wish there was more character development on her end, but the character development for the love interest, Lukov, was great. <spolier>I was very dissapointed that Jasmine couldn't even give Lukov a proper "I love you too" or even just "I love you", instead of a rushed "Love ya" in the middle of sex...anticlimactic.

I’m my Top 3 favourite books of all time. I read it in a day thinking it would take me ages. Slow burn perfection I loved the subtle romance development that happened throughout. AMAZING!!!!
