I loved this specific edition of the book. Carmen Maria Machado is incredibly insightful and hilarious in her footnotes and her introduction made me not hate all introductions to classic novels.

i read the version with machado's edits, which i thought were pretty annoying and unnecessary. didn't think her comments actually added anything to the text.

This is the first book ive read for my own enjoyment in months and i was pleased with it, I found myself gripped by the plot and characters.
