2.5, what I really loved: Elle's profession, her heARTs, her interactions with the kids in the hospital, her relationship with her parents and with Mia, MIA, I loved her, and I just discovered that Contreras wrote a book about her and Jensen and I may put it in my wishlist even if this one wasn't really as interesting as people said. What I disliked: Elle, Oliver, and Elle and Oliver together as a couple.

This one was OK. At the beginning of the book we find our protagonist, Estelle, about to leave the house she shared with the fiancé she lost a year ago to go live with her brother. Soon after that she runs into her brother's best friend, Oliver, and the man who broke her heart years ago. You can probably figure out the rest, but although predictable, the story was nice and made sense.
Elle is a likable main character - she is frequently blinded by Oliver's hotness, but she also doesn't put up with his crap much, which is a nice change from most NA books. I loved the concept of the kaleidoscope hearts and
Spoilerher work with the kids at the hospital, that was a nice touch
. I also liked how the author dealt with Elle's guilt and pain about moving on, it was nice to see her struggling with her feelings instead of just falling head over heels for Oliver and forgetting all about her past life with Wyatt.
My biggest problem (at least in the first half of the book) was Oliver himself. This is someone who has known Elle for all her life, knows about what she is going through and everything he put her through, and he just barges into her life again expecting that it will be fine. Thankfully he gets better as the book goes on, and I suppose the guy is kind of irresistible with all those husky whispers and the awesome hair (♥)
Spoilerand that was one hell of a first date *sighs*
. Another problem I had with Oliver is
Spoilerthat through the book we get some chapters told as flashbacks from his point of view, explaining how he came to fall in love with Elle, and the first two chapters basically talked about how hot she is and all the horny thoughts he had about her. This bothered me a lot, but then I thought how I'm always annoyed about insta-love, and isn't this a lot more realistic? we have a 19-year-old boy ruled by his hormones, and as they grow up he starts noticing all the other things he loves about Elle
. So in the end everything was cute and well :)
I was going to give it 3 stars, but I knocked half a star down because their lack of communication towards the end of the book was getting ridiculous and it kind of got to my nerves. The best thing for me were the supporting characters, Elle's parents in particular were super lovable and funny.
I'd definitely recommend this book for a nice weekend at home :)

This was a very beautiful book. There were parts that made me want to choke the H/h but I loved it.

Die Frage bleibt also: Was ist "Grace-Nacht"?
