bought in a second hand bookstore in los angeles when i was fourteen and oh boy what a pleasant surprise of a book! in the simplicity of following the lives of townspeople in california, you get offered some beautiful emotional descriptions of ordinary life. simply a pleasant short book to read :)

i’m convinced tess lasso is inspired by the bravery and kindness of saroyan’s characters. i loved this novel
