Lots of good, practical information here for caring for a dog with significant vision impairment. I found this book helpful: It reinforced behaviors which are especially helpful to my dog, and I learned some new tips. An example: My dog does best when people around him provide frequent verbal cues (even as simple as just talking to him), and I realized that my constant chat with him during walks actually helps him feel more confident as he navigates the neighborhood.

On a side note, this book is written by a veterinary technician who offers a very practical, actionable approach... not surprising since vet techs are the nurses of the veterinary profession. All in all, I highly recommend this book to anyone whose pet has (or is developing) significant vision impairment.
