Obviously a labor of love by the compilers, but there was a very good reason John Balance didn't try to get his art published himself while he was alive. It pales compared to the standard he set for himself through the Coil albums.

More interesting than the artwork itself were the foreword and the postscript by Val Denham and Jeremy Reed, making me yearn for a Balance or Coil biography.
