Since this book came out in the last couple of weeks, I opted for the hardcover instead of the ebook or audiobook since it was available much sooner from the library. I read it in two sittings in one day.

This is a fitting end to 10 books (+ several companion pieces). I feel like I got to hear from everybody I wanted to hear from. Once again the split narrative is used wonderfully, and I'm really pleased Reyna and Nico are included in the rotation of voices. Annabeth and Percy had so much of the early books that it was necessary to fully develop the newer characters.

Generic Spoilers!
Without writing a defined epilogue to tell us how it turns out, Rick Riordan gives us as much information as we need
Spoilerto put the book down knowing each and every one of our favorite characters is getting their well deserved happy ending. For now. They are demigods after all. :) But I don't think it will be Rick's place to tell us about their futures, at least not for a while. I can hope there are no more Titan or Giant or Gaea wars for at least a couple generations. I can believe that all the dreams do come true and they die of old age surrounded by their grandchildren. And Calypso ages with Leo and is able to finally rest.

Bravo Mr. Riordan, this is the longest series of books I've read as an adult. You kept me engaged and entertained for thousands of pages, through library waitlists and annoying narrators. I am not mad about anything. Thank you for taking us along on these adventures!

This book is very entertaining (not that I'm surprised - I always enjoy Rick Riordan's books). Perfect book to settle in with on a chilly Sunday.

The ending could have gone better. It wasn't nearly as satisfying as the one in the Percy Jackson series because the characters didn't experience any relevant casualties or need to make any hard sacrifices. This made the ending look too easy and unearned; basically, it didn't move me much. On the same note, the supposedly tough choices some of the characters would have to make were resolved in seconds, which was kind of annoying. Lastly, I didn't really enjoy the fact that 90% of the cast was coupled up, even though they may have looked cute together. It felt unnatural and forced, as if to say that everyone needs a romantic partner to be happy, which is not the case in real life.

Overall, it's was a fine read. It did have some very cool and empowering moments too, specially from the girls of the group. I liked it, though I don't think I'll be spending too much time thinking about it.
