The sequel to Bone Crier’s Moon was a total flop, regretfully. The first half of the book was awful to get through. Cas was suddenly kind of boring, Sabine was...well, I liked her in book one but liked her much less in this book, and then everything else didn’t make a whole lot of sense. It got interesting again in the second half, but the surprise long triangle (if you can even call it that) was not appreciated and was awful. I think the ending kind of makes up for it, but I’ll never reread the second book again. The first book, probably.

A continuation of the Bone Grace duology. Ailesse, Sabine, and Bastien continue to search for a way to break the soulmate bond of the Bone Crier.
This book wasn't the best edited for consistencies. As an adult reading a YA book I did find myself annoyed by the whininess, childish reasoning and decision making on the part of some of the characters. But I remember myself as a teen girl and this is exactly the kind of reasoning and behavior teens have.
All that aside, I did consider this to be a pretty fun read if you don't give it too critical an eye. It's very adventurous, has true love that isn't written in the stars, and redemption for imperfect people. Overall I enjoyed this series and would recommend it to any teen fantasy lover.

I like Bone Crier Moon more. Like this was also nice and I really like how it ended. I could continued reading it without stopping for a long time. But-
One problem I just don’t vibe with. Is the characters... I love Ailesse, Sabine, and Bastien but they all made so many stupid mistake. Like it’s not reasonable for me, but it felt so stupid that it’s just to move the plot forward. And it’s honestly frustrating. I love Sabine’s strength, but she made it so frustrating. Like why would she run off just like that just for her own good. Why do she think she is so entitled? Also Ailesse think she had so much strength to restrict the pull of Tyrus’ gate but she legit was admiring Cas as a love interest. Like it was so freaking annoying.
I don’t even want to talk about Cas. I don’t understand the appeal about him. Especially after he broke Bastien’s father stuff, I know it’s for defense but that was honestly so mean. How does everybody just forgive him so willingly?
Overall, I like the pacing. I like the story. I like the character. But they made so many stupid, dumb mistake that I just can’t. I definitely like Bone Crier Moon more.
