Brig wants love and a relationship like his siblings have found. Little does he know his perfect girl has been in front of him for years. Ruth has liked Brig since they were in school.  But shes hidden behind the counter at her coffee shop that she’s convinced Brig has never seen her. Her new business venture puts her right next to Brig’s work. Suddenly Brig is seeing Ruth in a whole new light.

We have been waiting for Brig’s story for a while now. The way Meghan has set up this series we knew it was going to be a story with Brig and Ruth. I loved the added dimension of The Summer of Love Pen Pal program. Even if Brig is an idiot with it. He still might be my favorite Knightly brother. I honestly loved the way Ruth grew and showed more and more of her true self to Brig day by day.

Connor Crais and Kelsey Navarro Foster are perfect for these two characters. Listening to these two and enjoying a MQ book is honestly like being wrapped in the biggest hug from friends.

Brig is the youngest of the Knighly brothers, and the one who took the palm reader’s curse of broken love most seriously. He wants nothing more than to find that one woman who gives him that swoony feeling, with whom he can settle down.

Ruth has been crushing on Brig since high school, but he hasn’t noticed her. They become secret pen pals in a Summer of Love pen pal program. Ruth quickly figures out that her pen pal is Brig, but despite many clues Brig remains clueless. When Ruth and Brig start working together to establish her new business, a tea parlor, beside Brig’s garage, Brig is still clueless. He thinks of Ruth as his best friend only

What happens when Brig learns the truth of Ruth’s feelings? And the identity of his pen pal?you might be surprised.
***
This book has all the feels. I read it with a smile on my face, but I also shed plenty of tears. Brig was adorable and unintentionally hilarious but...clueless.

Meghan Quinn is always a solid read, and this one was even better in audio.

📕 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: That Swoony Feeling by Meghan Quinn

📙 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀: Getting Lucky character series. Book 4.

📗 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀: Audiobook, borrowed & listened to through Hoopla.

📘 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗲: Contemporary romance

📔 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘀: Golden retriever MMC, friends-to-lovers, secret identity, LOL moments, found family.

📖 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: Ruth has loved Brigg for most of her adult life, but she can never work up the nerve to tell him, and he’s frustratingly oblivious.

🌟 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄:  Like so many of Meghan Quinn's books, I had all of the emotions with this one. I laughed. I got so frustrated I wanted to bang Briggs on the head with a frying pan. And I had hearts in my eyes by the end.

This series - following four brothers who are cursed in love by a witch in New Orleans - had all the best tropes and was genuinely well done.

The narrators also added to the experience. I loved both Kelsey Foster and Connor Crais - they brought these two idiots to life, and I love them for it.

𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹: 3/5 🌶🌶🌶

📝 𝗔 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲… The first three of these books are 🆓 KU read and listens. I had to find the fourth book on Hoopla to complete the series.

Love Brig's & Ruthie's story.

Funny and emotional and yes swoony.

Doe need a follow up novella to bring the 4 brothers books into 1 with an up to date on the future.
