I have avoided the romance genre because of a lot of my preconceived ideas of it, but I’m changing my mind and this book is one of the reasons why. The journey these characters go on is a rollercoaster and honestly, I could not have guessed any next step in this story. For the main characters, their choices are pretty predictable, but everything else around them was chaos. The balance is perfecting in helping you buy into their romance and I kept being reminded of backstory that hadn’t been resolved in authentic ways. Likable main characters with realistic common interests that really make you hope it all works out for them!
I’m also not a huge fan of the innocent virgin trope so I really liked the dynamic between Bailey and Chase as two sexually experienced people, but still with things to learn about each other. I also liked that the sex scenes were brief, but still exciting!
