This book was breathtaking in the worst ways possible. Please do not make the mistake I did and read this when struggling with the topics this book discusses. This book caused me to relapse at least twice and almost relapse per like 10 pages. This book was beautifully written and if I wasn’t struggling myself it would’ve gotten a higher rating.

Very odd pacing and some of the female characters from the beginning are very stereotypical from my experience of being in their shoes. People don’t speak and say the things that they do in that situation, that’s not what it’s like irl

Heartbreaking story, the main character Charlie is so loveable but in so much pain you just wanna pick her up like a baby and cradle her cause of all the shit she’s been through. <SPOILER/🚨TRIGGER WARNING🚨> As someone who has struggled with sh and st in the past, this book really resonated with me, the descriptions of how Charlie was feeling and what it’s really like to be depressed were so vivid and spot on with my experience. Loved it.

i did like this a lot however there were a couple of flaws and i literally haven’t been able to stop thinking about the topic of the book ever since bcos i thought i wasn’t easily triggered like a complete ignorant fucking idiot💀 (didn’t realise the content warnings are split into how graphic they r and it’s not letting me edit it 😭 - they’re not all graphic)
