I do love the writing style from Miss Aster. I read the first book in this series. Again, the writing is still good. But the drama/ plot is too much. Its like a soap opera going on and on too long. I also bit frustrated with Gentry keep pushing Eva over and over again. Finally they hooked up, then he pushed her again.

Its really like a broken record. I also do not get the chemistry or why Gentry an Eva interested in each other. Even the forbidden love story does not bite this time.

Overall this is an OK read thanks to the writing. The other needs more work to make the story believable.

Ruin was a great read! It is a standalone but also book three in this series by Willow Aster. Ruin is the story of Ava and Gentry and while there is a lot going on to read through it was so good! I recommend reading previous books as they are all worth it!

As I started Ruin, book three in this standalone series that Willow is so graciously delivering to us, I assumed as the books went on the less and less I would enjoy what I was reading or eventually I would get burnt out on the setting / characters but that is sooo not the case! Every time I open my kindle to these books, I am just as in love if not more than I was with the last bok.

There is so much going on in this book !SO MUCH! but Willow wrote it in a way that you are able to enjoy, not feel overwhelmed and struggle with the events taking place. There is angst, tension, FORBIDDEN LOVE!, and an age gap, fully developed characters, and more feelings that you don't even see coming.

As always, Willow Aster's world building and plot driven stories never cease to amaze me. Her ability to take these elements and write them into something that I enjoy is much appreciated. Every time I read another one of Willow’s books in this series I’m continuously in awe of her talent.

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.

The Kingdoms of Sin series continues with book 3 and it is everything I was waiting for! I instantly fell in love with this series with Downfall. And then came Exposed and I fell even more in love. Now we have Ruin and I can honestly say I am truly blown away by this series and I don't want it to end after the next book.

Willow brought Ava and Gentry to life in a way that I can't explain. From the very beginning, they both capture you and create a whirlwind that you don't want to escape from. You are captivated and enthralled by everything they want and do. You feel every emotion, every hiccup, every single tension filled moment. You are there, living each and every moment with them, and there are times that you will want to throw your kindle across the room... because I nearly did on several occasions.

There were times I felt a little lost as to what was happening because things seemed so crazy, but that is the storyline and honestly, if I hadn't felt that way during those scenes, then the connection wouldn't have been as strong as I wanted it to be. I was completely and utterly connected to each and every moment. I was there, living and breathing it.

Though all of the books in the series are standalone novels, they are interconnected and I highly suggest starting with Downfall when diving in to the world of Kingdoms of Sin. The read is worth it. I can't wait for Book 4 - which is Jadon's story.

Four beautiful stars for this emotionally suspenseful romance that will have you begging for more the whole way through, and when all is said and done, you will be on your knees wondering why it had to even end.

*sigh* I loved this book so much!

It had everything I love in a book
Feisty take no shit heroine ✔️
Heart stopping suspense ✔️
A bit of forbidden love ✔️
Swoon worthy romance ✔️
Ava and Gentry were everything. From their chemistry the second they met, to the forbidden flirting, to finally being able to give in and love each other out in the open, had me smiling from ear to ear! They are definitely my favorite couple in the series so far.

Have I told you all how much I love this world Willow has created?? I probably have but I’m going to keep screaming it because

I LOVE THIS SERIES! Each book leaves me practically speechless. And this one was no exception.

The suspense had me gasping and exclaiming. I am seriously dying for the final book in the series. I can’t wait to read Jadon’s story and find out how everything will come to close.

So....
Do you like Royals? Do you like angst? Do you like suspense that makes your heart race? Do you like kick ass heroines, and hot as hell hero’s? Do you like twists you won’t see coming?

If you answered yes to any of these questions read this series! Go back and start with Downfall and work your way through!
You won’t be disappointed!!
