Stories, but stories all surrounding the same character in sequence. More snapshots, really. Hay writes in a very poetic way, so either you appreciate it or you don't. I don't. I fell like she tries too hard to make much out of nothing, and works the snow theme to hard. A slog at 87 pages, which is not a good thing.
