Poetry/prose about tough topics- unconventional love, social justice, mental health- without sugar coating it.
It's a bit more raw than I like my poetry, and the style didn't resonate with me so much as other poetry books have- but, it's still very much worth a read for the exploration of powerful topics from a powerful author.

Ok sorry but people complaining about the format/length etc of the poems should probably know, and this is said in the book so I have a hard time understanding their confusion, that this is a book of EXCERPTS from the poet's major works. But that doesn't mean they are less grand because of that. (Quality over quantity.. does that ring a bell?)

It's like having a collection of your favorite quotes from world wrecking poems.. with awesome illustrations to boot. Or it's the perfect introduction to this poet since afterwards you'll want to read everything they have ever written.

I won't even mention the eye wink to the readers of rupi kaur in the blurb mostly because i don't want to smash my head against a wall in frustration.
