Tara Westover shares her own story and family's with care and thought, not wanting to shy away from the truth and reality, but also to present the complicated natures and stories of the people she loves. A story that even in the midst of so much pain, trauma, and violence, I as a reader saw a family with deep convictions and the messy attempts to love each other within that.
