Read the Audible version with a full cast and I highly recommend it! Love the story, love the cast, and performance.

I loved the meet cute on this one and thought their chemistry was excellent. They were just kidding themselves trying to stay away from one another. Based on the blurb for book 2, I knew this one was going to end messy and things were going way too well too close to the end. Team TJ in this too.

The audiobook had duet narration so the characters spoke their own lines and that is my favorite type of audiobook.

I LOVED that this audiobook had bloopers at the end. I've read a ridiculous amount in the last few years and that was the first one I can think of that did that.

Tropes:
New To Town
M/M
Forced Proximity

"When you smile at me, it’s like the world disappears and I’m caught in your spotlight.”

Just in time for Pride Month, Lauren Blakely delivers, yet again, a great M/M romance! It's been a hot minute since I've picked up a book from Lauren Blakely, and I'm beating myself up for that!

This is book one in the Hopelessly Bromantic Duet - so be aware that it does end on a cliffhanger.

She brought the banter in this one! I loved the flirting between TJ and Jude. The chemistry was bursting right from the get-go!

This book takes place over the course of 7 years. TJ was sent to London to cover the markets for News24. While waiting for his luggage he runs into Jude who tells him the best thrift store to get an outfit from.

When he arrives to his flatshare, he is surprised to find out that Jude is his new roomie! Jude is an aspiring actor who just got his first place in the city. Due to the complicated nature of their attraction, and the time limit of TJs stay, they decide it's best not to get physical.

This rollercoaster ride is absolutely amazing and I honestly can't wait for book two!

When TJ company transfers him to London, he plans on having the year of his life. He’ll visit pubs, eat good food, and have a good time. When he meets Jude his first day there, he may have just found someone to have a good time with. He doesn’t anticipate anything that might happen. And when he’s transferred back to New York after just three weeks, he doesn’t anticipate the loss he feels.

Forward 7 years, and Jude reaches out to him, asking him to come to LA to see his show.
TJ goes, but again.. isn’t able to anticipate what happens. Misunderstandings abound during his trip and that is not what he wanted. They hurt each other, and TJ leaves…. And breaks Jude’s heart.

That is just an overview of this wonderful book. Lauren Blakely has such a way of delving into the heart and mind of her characters, and it’s so easy to feel like you know them. Both of these men are in love with the other… and they just don’t know how to navigate all that’s happening. So ready for “Here Comes My Man”!!!
