Quick, enjoyable read. The second woman in the Quartet to fall in love, the florist, Emma. The set up came in Book #1. This book had two set ups for the remaining two women. Continued details about the Vows weddings, which I enjoyed, it wasn't all about the Emma and Jack and conflict. I thought Emma's major blow up was a little off, I can see getting mad but just writing the whole thing off over one day seemed a little bit unrealistic. Beautiful, perfect ending, of course.

I wasn't as big of a fan of this one as the first. I didn't feel like there was as much of a conflict to be resolved. I am still looking forward to the rest of the series.

I DNF'D but then picked it back up. Would be better if it was 70 or so pages shorter. There really just isn't a lot to it and I feel. It should be more of a short romance!

This book focused on Emma, the florist. I didn't really see her and Jack coming together, and they did...and they were so cautious (very similar to how Mac was cautious). I hated how quick Emma was to jump to conclusions & blame Jack for something that he didn't even know he did. I honestly cried though when they made up & got engaged- oh so suddenly.

I will continue to read the series, although I can gather from the hints in this book who the other 2 are going to hook up with...and probably get married to.

Bed of Roses
3 Stars

A straightforward and relaxing contemporary romance with no spectacular twists.

The emotional intensity and involvement in this installment is better than in the first, but the descriptions of Mac's vocation are more interesting as the focus on the flower business in the this is excessive.

so good!! A great "get away" book. Loved the happy ending and all the drama that got us to that point. Can't wait for the next one in the series!!

2.7 I looked at some of the other reviews but no one seems to have a problem with all the kissing of other people that goes on this series. In the first book, Del kisses Mac on the lips and in this one Emma kissed Carter (Mac's fiancee) twice and some other friends a few times. These are supposed to be just friendly kisses (which is already weird and disturbing). But only people of opposite genders kiss each other. So it's not just friendliness. There were other things like how the girls kept talking about very intimate things about their partners with each other, or how one of them watched the main couple make out and was very into it. There are too many blurred lines.

I'm really enjoying this audiobook! My sister-in-law has the book and I told her she'll really enjoy it.

I love the back and forth kidding between the 4 friends! It is such a hoot and the audiobook makes it so enjoyable.
