Off the Map, by Trish Doller, is the third in the Beck Sisters series. Carla Beck visits Ireland for her best friends wedding and immediately meets Eamon, who is responsible for picking her up from the airport and driving with her across Ireland to the wedding. The premise is darling and I really enjoyed the story line. However, I really with there was more character development. I felt the book was a bit rushed and within the first couple of chapters, Carla and Eamon were sleeping together. I felt more character depth would allow me to feel a better connection with story.

I did enjoy the relationship Carla had with her father, who suffers from dementia. Carla was raised by her father, and their bond is so special. The scenes with her father are so sweet but also so sad. I loved how Doller writes so beautifully about grief.

Overall, I would give this book 3 starts. Despite the fast pace, I did find many aspects of the book to be darling!

Thank you to NetGalley, St. Martin's Press, and Trish Doller for this ARC!

I put this on double speed to get through it. Maybe I’d like it better as a movie. It just lacked heart. I didn’t like the characters and most of the romantic parts of the book just seemed to happen so they could happen.

I was going to dnf this one. The beginning of this book wasn't that strong. I felt like Carla and Eamon's relationship was extremely rushed and I found myself cringing over things they would say cause they had only just met. I'm not a fan of insta love. But I stuck with it. And I did enjoy the second half a lot more than the first half. The chapters where Carla is home with her dad really tugged at my heartstrings. I loved all the side characters and how lovely and kind they were. I enjoyed most of this book, but probably not enough to read again.

Such a great book. I absolutely love the concept of this book. The characters are lovable and very easy to relate too. I laughed really hard at some of the spots. I was very happy with the ending and only upset a couple of times throughout the book. Very cute romance book.

This was the closest thing to instalove that I've liked, and the stuff with Carla's relationship with her dad and his dementia really hit home for me.

I’ve always dreamed of traveling for months at a time so this made my wanderlust heart just beam!!
Also I have dementia in my family so that tugged at my heart strings.

A very sweet, insta-love travel romance with a solid bit of spice. This PERFECTLY pulled me out of a book slump I’d been fighting as I t’s a relatively quick & easy read, and I’m so happy about it.

It’s also highly emotional, not only from the romance perspective- lots of sentimentality. Also, I ADORE the cover. So cute!!

Thank you so much to St. Martins Press for gifting me an ARC of such a cute book.

Super cute, fun, quick read. I didn’t realize this was part of a series so read it stand-alone. I don’t think you need the other books for context.

Read this if you 1- Liked Float Plan, 2- Like a bit of spice in your books, 3- Like a bit of laughs and tears in your books. This was a huge hit for me!
