This story about the authors Dad was one I listened to as an Audiobook and I’d guess its best that way. It was funny and his dad is quite a character. The writing wasn’t anything to write home about

Ok, so I didn't really read this book, but I did read parts of it in the bookstore one day while waiting for my kids. It was pretty amusing, but not sure that everyone would agree...lots of curse words.

So funny! I randomly found this in my library and was laughing hard the whole way through. I liked the stories involving the author and his dad. They really showed how much they care for each other and how blunt his dad is.

Loved this book!! Laughed all of the way through, but the last chapter was definitely the best.

I read this because it seems to be on everyone's 'to read' list. I can't say I enjoyed it. Yes, it had a few funny lines, but it got old quick. 'Dad' does NOT have an extensive vocabulary, and his 'words of wisdom' really aren't terrible wise. The book is probably best read in small doses over a long period of time. But really, there are more interesting books to spend your reading time on.

This was fun listen while I worked. His dad has some great one-liners I’d love to steal. It wasn’t deep or profound, but it was fun.

2016 Genre Challenge : Non-Fiction

This book was funny, or it had some laugh out loud moments.... But I think I went into expecting something a little different. I guess reading the blurb, I thought it would be about a twenty something guy living with his seventy four year old father and the antics of an older gentleman. In reality, this book was about the authors father and everything he remembers his father saying as he was growing up. It's like a reverse "my child's funniest phrases" book. For me, it was just alright.

Funny, a lot better written than I anticipated.
