I enjoyed reading the first book in this series and look forward to reading more. It was a good introduction to the main character, a former Philadelphia police officer with personal issues related to killing a child in self defense. Both the descriptions of a gritting Philadelphia and the south Florida Everglades seemed very "real". Obviously, the author is very knowledgeable about both!

Great start for a series opener! I liked that there was action all throughout (even if some of it was flashback). It really didn't lull for any length of time and it explained pretty much everything that was going on. I'm really looking forward to reading the rest of the series. :)
