I didn't expect anything going in but I enjoyed this book. It's a good read, deals nicely with misogyny and oppression (as well as various layers of oppression). I liked how the folk tales and songs are woven in, it works really well.

A bit too long and drawn out for me. Enjoyed the rhymes and stories woven in as the basis for magic, but just couldn’t get into the sisters and their plots as much.

Had I known we’d have a coup, I’m not sure I’d have chosen this to read. It was a beautiful, too true, harrowing, lovely story of three sisters and their power. I really liked it.

I really enjoyed this book. It is quite long, but did not feel like a slog. The plot really came full-circle, as well.

I struggled with the pacing of this book. I almost gave up at 40% but I’m glad I stuck with it. The last half of the book I would give 4 stars when things started to pick up.
