This series mostly feels like Tomasi really wanted to write a middle school AU of the DC universe. Which works okay with me when the series focuses on what I like the most about it: Jon and Damian. This issue focused wayyyy to much on Lex Jr and the plot and there was barely any real input from Damian and Jon.
It makes me wonder if this series would have been better as a 6 issue series instead.

Some thoughts of mine:
- WHAT. IS. HAPPENING. TO. JON’S. HAIR???
- Damian my baby just look at him!
- I officially appreciate Joker Jr. I trust him now.
- There were some funny moments!
- The art is so beautiful I love love love!!!
All in all, this is your run-of-the-mill AoSS issue here. Nothing completely new, it seems like it’s just paving the way for a bigger showdown between the Super Sons and Rex Luthor. And what a showdown that will be...
