This was an okay read. Interesting story but some of the characters were kind of annoying. Short, easy Christmas read.

It is sappy and the ending is rushed, but if you wanted a easy little romantic Christmas story... (Or just another book that you can read fast, as in my case...)

this book was exactly how you would imagine a trashy romance Christmas story, so if that's your thing then pick this up. I however did not enjoy it especially when they talked about weight loss. it was not an awful book but it did have me rolling my eyes a lot...

Tis the season, so I picked this up at the library knowing I would be able to finish it in an hour or two when I needed not to think.
I was actually expecting something a little more sacharine than this turned out to be. The protagonists start out disliking each other intensly before inexplicably falling in love within a week. There really isn't enough depth to the story to comment on the characters or plot but I enjoyed Dr Jeffries getting his comeuppance in regards to his 'Free Child' theory, most reasonable parents would choke at his textbook psychology.
Predictable but not without charm, Christmas Letters is a cozy romance for the Christmas season.

The story was ok but from the start it had a Hallmark movie vibe (which I am not fond of). The title Christmas Letters was very deceiving as the Letters were a very small part of the story. I have read Debbie Macomber books in the past but disappointed in this one. This book went from KO (horrible nickname) hating Wynn for his ideas on child-rearing to the two falling in love, having their required break-up and reconciliation within a matter of a few short weeks.

The most disappointing part of this book is Wynn breaking off the relationship with Katharine because she truthfully expressed her feelings toward his book. His ego couldn't handle it. Then we have Katharine berating herself for speaking her mind and not "keeping her mouth shut." And she went to apologize to him.

I am trying to consider the book was published in 2006 but it's recent enough that this is not a good depiction of a healthy relationship.

Overall, the story was ok but it will probably keep me from picking up any other Debbie Macomber books.

Setting Christmas and it’s a Debbie Macomber book... which I always seem to end up either reading one of her Christmas books or watching her Hallmark movies (along with other Hallmark Christmas movies).

As a feel good and very quick read, Debbie Macomber books has it all, especially her holiday books. I read this book a few years ago and decided to listen to the audiobook when I subscribed to Audible’s Romance Package. I did enjoy the audiobook. It was fun listening to this while I was very very very busy wrapping presents this month. I already knew the story so if I was never lost. My favorite was when the narrator spoke for the Heroine Katherine. Goodreads does classify this as a Blossom Street series book (book 3.5) but it’s a stand-alone for sure. I think my favorite part was when Katherine told

I plowed through this book in a day. The whirlwind romance of Wynn and K.O. warmed my heart. It was exactly what I wanted from a Christmas romance.

This book was bad. There was no character development, no reasoning behind why Katherine went from hating Wynn to loving him 20 pages later, and no reasoning behind their love. It’s stupid to base a romance on the fact that a character saw it in her Raisin Bran. If she would’ve actually been a psychic and it would’ve taken them longer to fall in love than 20 pages and about 2-3 hours in book time, it would’ve been a much better book. But, alas, I did not finish it. I read the last couple of chapters because I was curious to how it ended, but wow. This is a rather bad book. In fact, I can’t think of one thing that I liked about it.
