I finished this book at 1:40am and read it over the course of a day. I could not put this book down. It was uncomfortable, messy, but hard to put down. As I read, I began to feel for Edie and was drawn into her life and her relationship with Eric’s family.
I also love the way the author writes - it’s beautifully written.

Wow. I wish the book had lasted forever, I sped through it. A must read.

Phenomenal narrator for this audio edition and beautiful prose that cuts like a knife.

As a young person navigating through a world filled with social injustices myself, I felt a sisterly bond with the main character. She has a lot to say, she wants to be heard and remembered. But she has surrendered to her unstable life so engrossingly that she doesn't want to talk about herself. The narration is so cold and distant that I felt exhausted reading minute details of objects and situations. I wish the book focused not only on the surroundings but also on her humanity.
