Very well written, but too disturbing. All of the characters are dark. No good characters to offset the dark ones.

This was the first book I've ever read of this kind and I thought that the book would be great, but unfortunately it didn't fill up my expectations. It was very slow paced and very graphic.

As romance fans know, love needs obstacles to hold our interest, and in this egalitarian age, obstacles are hard to come by.

This is the endearing story of Oscar and Eli.

Oscar is a somewhat awkward boy, Eli is the young girl who moves in next door. She doesn't go to school and never leaves the flat by day. She is a 200 year old vampire, forever frozen in childhood. Against the odds, they became friends.

He fights for his love and also to be turned into a vampire so he will be forever young with his love. However Eli will not turn him, she wants him to grow old and live a normal life.

Will they be able to be together? Will Eli be able to control the urge to drink Oscars blood?
