A 3.5*star read for me. A short, pacy story about work buddies Brody and Wallace. Wallace introduces Brody to D/s relationship, and that scene is about the extent of the book. As with a lot of Kim Dare's books, the story seems like it was taken from a longer book - in this case, about chapter 3, and I'd love to read the longer version!

As a general rule, PWP short stories just don't work for me. Kim Dare can be one of the exceptions to this rule, but this book wasn't. I think shorts work best for me when there is an established relationship or obvious & strong emotions between the two characters. Ones like this one (that are more just two people hooking up) click with me only the stars have to align perfectly and they just didn't here.
