It was pretty confusing to read this book in ebook form. There were no quotation marks which added to the confusion of who was talking. I also didn't realize it was satire which is not a favorite for me.

Didn't finish, although giving up at 75% was a bit silly.
Witticisms I get, I just didn't particularly vibe with them. But what's up with the modernist (??) no dialogue punctuation formatting? It didn't seem to be doing anything for the narrative or anything, it was just sitting there like the publisher ran out of a character limit.

It took awhile to get into the writing style, but once in I was hooked. I loved the absurd humor throughout and his depiction of Solomon/Suleiman, especially when the porters separated.
