Sinceramente mi aspettavo che questo libro non mi sarebbe piaciuto per niente, essendo che avevo visto delle recensioni da 5 e altre da 1.
A me è piaciuto molto nonostante non trattasse temi facili.
Lo consiglio molto e sono felice di avergli dato una possibilità.
Mi è piaciuto molto anche lo switch del font anche se ci ho messo un po’ per abituarmici.

Having only two POVs was boring to me. Also, obviously Hannah is a very unreliable narrator who uses these tapes to justify her own death. I don't agree with that or the way this story glorifies and justifies suicide. As a survivor of an attempt myself I can't understand why anyone would write this book; mishandling this topic and aim it toward such a young demographic. The show was a lot worse though.

UPDATE 1/16/2022:

Teenager kills herself after watching the Netflix show "Thirteen Reasons Why" and father blames the glorification of suicide in this show/book:

More proof that this book is INCREDIBLY damaging and should have never been adapted.

No. Thank You.

Manic pixie dream girl kills herself to teach all the other horrible one dimensional students at her school how horrible they are and no one takes her lesson to heart.

Can we please have one, just ONE, YA novel about a character who isn't interested in partying, adult fun time, or anything, and prefers to stay at home and watch movies or read books or something?

I hated pretty much everything about this book. All the characters are stupid and Asher, despite providing a bit at the end of "If you need someone to talk to, here's the suicide hotline and their website," is still glorifying suicide. By the time I hit page 140 or so, I was literally just skipping over Clay's sections. He ends up asking out another girl or something, I don't know. All the characters in this story are horrible and none of them ever realize how horrible they are. Worst ever book.

This book failed its mission. While it is supposed to be a cautionary tale about how we treat others, it ends up being the story of someone who was not taught how to cope with life crisis and tragedy. I relate to the character with some of my life circumstances. However, people need to be taught how to handle crisis. Suicide is not an option.
