Mad Love was the only story that was worth the time, but it was a hell of a story! The style, similar to the 90's animated tv series was beautiful an made me feel so nostalgic.
It was great to see the original take on Harley Quinn's backstory and how she used to behave compared to more recent approaches. And the commentary was so touching, I really enjoyed it.

A bit unequal. Mad Love is fantastic, and I love everything from Batman TAS. The other stories are also very good but not quite on the same level. But what the heck, I had a very good time and loved the art. A must for Batman fans.

I was hoping this wasn't a book where Harley was just a sexy lamp and it wasn't. Instead she slept her way through school and was in an emotionally and physically abusive relationship. Hopefully one day I will find a story that isn't her as a victim.
Loved the Poison Ivy story.

A healthy dose of nostalgia. I didn't expect Ra's to admit his part in covering up the death of the original Paul McCartney, but it was an interesting twist.

[Initial thoughts] You've gotta realise that I am a huge Harley fan girl, by now right? Well, you can't love Harley and not want to read her origins story! Mad Love is her origin story, and while it was great, and plays on the comedic elements a little more than other versions (I'm looking at you Suicide Squad) it doesn't really add to what I already knew. Still worth it though! I also loved Two of a Kind, what can I say? I'm can't resist a poisonous relationship! Overall this was a really nice collection of shorter stories, but, understandably, lacking the depth of longer graphic novels, but, then again, I can't imagine anything quite reach the hights of The Killing Joke 🤡

Not the best comic book I've read; it was a book I picked up from the library out of impulse- I had felt a yearning to revisit some good childhood memories and as a kid growing up watching the Batman: Animated series I wanted to experience another version of that as an adult. It was a quick read and I enjoyed the artwork and thought the coloring was beautiful. As expected the plots were not the greatest; a bit awkwardly paced and shallow in certain parts but that does not mean it was a bad read. It simply was what it was. I do want to point out the fact that it was surprisingly heavy in innuendo and had a tad more instances of "male gaze" pin-up panels of the female characters. I get it; it was the 90s but still some of was really in poor taste. Also surprised the writers were able to get away with some of cursing in the comic book but hey freedom of speech.

I have only read two comic books in my life . I hope to read more but this one i knew i had to own. Harley Quinn has been favourite character since i was a kid so to get to learn her origin story is a real must for me. The writing and the artwork in this is phemonenal, Paul Dini and Bruce Timm really are legends. It will make you laugh , make you smile, make you sad and (made me cry, i'm a girl i get emotional this can't be helped). Honestly an amazing read and a must have for a Harley Quinn or a Joker fan

This volume is worth the buy.
Mad Love is a classic story - if you're a fan of Harley Quinn, you want to know how she came to be. You'll be surprised to learn that she wasn't always the Joker's sidekick.. she started out as his psychologist!
All of these stories are light in contrast with the Batman and Detective Comics imprints. The art is fitting for both the pages of these stories and the TV show that it takes after. As a huge fan of "regular" Batman, these stories are a must read. Great backstory, little insight, and some fun hidden references and innuendo throughout.
Batgirl's story was funny and the unused sketches were a great addition to the novel - Clayface is a guy that you just don't see around that often. Both the Scarecrow and Ventriloquist stories were quick reads. This Scarecrow wasn't as creepy... more vigilante-ish and it was a good take on the character. I didn't like the last story... the one with the tablet and weird devil / language throughout. I think that one missed the mark with me a little bit, but otherwise I highly recommend.
