This book probably contains some of the better dynamics I have ever read this entire year in a romance; it had an healthy communication between the two main characters and I do feel like the due point view did help us have a lot of insight on them and their thought, and although the mmc hadn't been the best at the beginning actually seeing his reasoning did help with not thinking him an utter tool and fool.
I still think that what I found this book lacking was a good procession of the plot, as the writing wasn't my favorite style and especially it left some dead periods in the book that had me a bit annoyed and bored to read through; it also fell into the trap of the 'all too cheesy and sappy' at times, which I think it's more a preference of mine than a true flaw of the book.
Overall, one of the best-plotted and represented romances I have read so far, this year and I'll definitely recommend it plus read other book of this author because she got me hooked.
(also bonus point: the fmc is curvy and the way that the author never made it central to the story - as it should be - was such a breath of fresh air, ugh!)

I cried and laughed and was frustrated with this book.
For me the characters were relatable; like the battles with self worth, grief, love and pride. Also questions of doing the right thing... is the right thing right if everyone suffers? Follow your heart but.. to what direction? Is revenge ok, or do you judge things with just half of the truth in your hands?
Somehow this book showed perfectly what it is to be human. . . That not everything is perfect, and that's ok. I loved how the author described all the emotions the characters went through.
Sometimes I just wanted to go into the story, comfort them and say everything was gonna be alright.
Aand also go join the ("spicy") bookclub aaand those audio book listening "events" where the whole street listened all those spicy monster **ck storys together. x33♡

One of the main characters have some problems with depression and it is described in my mind perfectly. The tiredness. Aand lack of being able to even take a shower. How even reading the messages is too much not to mention that you should answer them. The avoidance of everything as well as everyone and also that need to just escape to the other worlds for a while. I think this book is one of those books that people should read if not otherwise then just to understand how other people, people with depression (or other mental illnesses / lack of self confidence), really feel or see things from their perspective.jackie_recommends's review against another edition
