I did it! I knit a hat! This wasn’t my first time knitting but it was the first time I attempted to make something that wasn’t just a rectangle. The first hat I attempted turned into a scarf because I somehow got a twist in it that I couldn’t get rid of. Also it was huge. My second attempt was also huge but no twist and I finished it. It isn’t very pretty but as this was my first attempt at knitting in the round, and the first time I used double tipped needles to reduce, it actually didn’t come out too horribly. I will refer to this book in the future as I attempt more hats. I did have to look up videos a couple times for things that I couldn’t get right based on the picture. But this book was better than all the other knitting books I’ve read because there was a clear goal and reaching that goal required learning a lot of stuff along the way.
