Some typical shōnen-like moments in this one in regards to the women/girls which is always a bit disappointing (but I understand I am reading shōnen after all, and it's not half as bad as others). Yet in the very same volume we got some great Shimizu moments that really flesh out her character and solidly reinstates her importance in the story.

We've seen Karasuno going through a growing phase before but it's clear that them adjusting to each other does not automatically mean the team falling apart as well - they can still play together and win points. It's lovely to witness, especially against an opponent like Dateko.
And it's simply to funny to watch Kageyama's awkward friendship attempts versus Hinata's solid relationship with Aone.

I love that we get a focus on the third-years this volume (all of them!) that is not focused on volleyball. It also works as a transition into the long-awaited Spring High National Tournament. And it wouldn't be a proper start to a new game if Hinata was well prepared, lol.

I really like the slight focus that Shimizu gets in this volume, and the message that, even though she doesn't stand on the court, the part she plays for the team is still valuable.
Getting some glimpses of the characters at home or outside of school was fun, too. Hinata's little sister is adorable!
Also... We get to see Bokuto again! What more do I need to say?

Favorite moments:

-Hinata with his little sister.
-Daichi's dream. (And him checking to make sure it WAS just a dream.)
-Asahi making a wish for his neighbor's dog's health.
-"Hey, hey, heeey!"
