Week 27 Book 21
The Doomsday Conspiracy by Sidney Sheldon
Rating: 4/5

Re reading my favourite books by my favourite authors these days.

This one is a 'different' kind of a Sheldon novel. It talks about the possibility of extraterrestrial beings, and their relationship with humans.

Commander Robert Bellamy is a brilliant but lonely agent recruited for a special mission: to locate accidental witnesses to a highly confidential security gadget's failure.

The problem is, he doesn't know who they are, where they are, how many they are... He has nothing to start from, except the location of the gadget.

Still he begins his journey, and through his brilliant mind, and sometimes sheer luck, joins the pieces of the puzzle, only to realise something much bigger and more sinister is happening.

It's one of my favourite Sheldon novels, an unputdownable, edge of the seat thriller. I loved reading it now as much as I loved reading is some 20 years ago! Highly recommended.

I don’t know what the hell I just read but it was really weird. The weirdest part was the conspiracy’s about UFOs in the back. Anyways I haven’t figured out why my mom was dying for me to read this yet but it was at least somewhat entertaining.

This is a new genre that I am reading about doomsday and all. It is about an imminent alien attack that is facing the earth and a Commander called Robert Bellamy is sent for a cover up. As it turns out there are lot this that is behind the operation that keeps popping out as the investigation progresses. At the end Sidney Sheldon quotes some facts from scientists and other subject experts to prove the veracity of UFO. It really shocked me that there is a possibility of UFO sightings being covered up to prevent public panic.
