Very slow start & more focus on Vax then Vex. Characterisation was off for Vex at times, in my opinion.

Long review to follow.

Stopped listening to it. Will probably start it again in the future from the beginning.

The story moves very slowly, and so with it being over 15 hrs long, I listened at 1.25x speed. Despite that, the performances were delightful for a Critical Role fan. Great for a road trip.

The books starts up reeeaally slowly, but once the story gets going actually the book becomes awesome! I do feel like they could hae cut off 50-100 pages from beginning though.

A lot of the book was the internal monologue of both characters, so I think its appeal is really for Critical Role fans. Vex is my favorite and I really enjoyed this. I would be into more that adventures that haven't already been revealed to fans.
