I enjoyed it, but the author uses the same repetitive phrases. The plot was fun for a mystery lover, didn’t make me anxious the way some thrillers do, but wasn’t brilliant in terms of writing. I will continue reading the series.

I picked this book up because it was compared to the Victoria Speedwell series, which I totally see why. I enjoyed the characters at play, especially Charlotte. She was such a strong MC! However, the murder mystery was WAY over my head.. very scientific (my least fave subject in school). So yeah, enjoyed but not sure I’ll continue with the series if it continues to be so rooted in scientific themes.
