I wanted to like this more than I did, but couldn't get there. Beth spends way too much time thinking the same things over and over and by about the fifth time I'd lost both interest and patience. I'd have liked to have seen a bit more of how Mary dealt with allowing herself to have feelings for someone new as well rather than constantly rehashing Beth's situation. I could see why Beth was attracted to Mary, but Beth was such a downer that I couldn't see what Mary's attraction to her was based on. Also Beth doesn't live in San Francisco, and has a business in LA, but the book ends without even delving into how those issues would be resolved. I think maybe the author's interested in this couple waned as well.
