Taylor Swift songs: “sparks fly”
Overall, this was a fairly cute Romcom! This wasn’t extremely mind blowing to me, but I did really enjoy reading it. It was set in Leeds, England and was a forced-proximity, enemies-to-lovers! The characters were pretty well developed and lovable/interesting. I didn’t think the main characters had crazy chemistry, but I think they worked well together and were a cute couple. The plot was also very cute, and the execution was pretty well done. I’d say this is a reliable quick read when you want a very positive/happy and silly/funny Romcom! I would be interested in other books by this author!
The main female character, Serena, was offered to house sit her friend Taylor and Taylor’s husband’s house for a few months while they go on an extended holiday. Which is great for her, because she just lost her mother figure, her job, and her apartment. But, what’s not great for her, is that Tim also agreed to let his friend Ziggy stay there too. So, Ziggy and Serena get into a prank war to try to get the other to move out!
Age rating: 13+ (she inherits and adult store, so there are references, but the book itself is fade-to-black)
