“Because obsession and love are the same fucking thing. And I’ve been obsessed with you from the start.”

wow. Wow. WOW. Steele had my mouth hanging open with his filthy mouth and actions. Devious is definitely a good word to use for him. Almost instantly I connected to Steele as a character and despite his actions, I grew to love his story with Aspen even more.

Aspen and Steele hit it off right in the beginning and that first s3x scene was *chefs kiss*. Lowkey, the bareback action was steamy and I wouldn’t mind it being included in any future books

This was really good.. but it reminded me so much of the first book. For example:
SpoilerThe chasing as foreplay, the stalkers, the trackers they put on the girls without their knowledge, the hostage situation, the sneaking into their bedrooms, the making copies of their keys...
and that's just to name a few. Nothing was shocking to me anymore. Aside from maybe
SpoilerTHE FUCKING TATTOO HE GAVE HER AFTER HE DRUGGED HER?????
Hello??????? Anyway....

If anything, I just wish I waited a bit longer to read this book so soon after reading Brutal Obsession so it wasn't as fresh in my mind. Regardless, books in the same series shouldn't be this similar.

Four stars because S. Massery sure does know how to make you question your sanity when you're rooting for the evil fucking dude to get the girl who absolutely doesn't deserve any of his bullshit. Welp.

While I was not as obsessed with this one as I was with Brutal and Twisted Obsession, I definitely still enjoyed this to the point that I started and finished this book today.
I read this series out of order and, as such, forgot what tropes were included in this story. I will forever be a fan of the step-sibling trope... especially with this one because I didn't expect that twist at the beginning of the book.
In order to gain more stars for me, I kind of wish that her tr@umA from her childhood was touched on more. I know it doesn't technically have to do with the romance, but it seemed to me that it had a bit to do with her wanting to feel out of control while doing the seggsy time, so that was a little bit lacking for me... Also... the roommate and the uncle... wut?!
All in all, I still enjoyed this story, but there were just things missing for me that prevented me from rating it higher.
