I don’t even know where to start with this one! First off I loved it! It was the perfect conclusion to Bulls and Lily’s story. This one sucked me in from the very beginning! I did not want to stop reading. I had to see what was going to happen next. I even found myself reaching for a tissue a couple times! It was action packed, took many twists and turns, gave me all the feels, all in all a good ride! I would definitely recommend this book!

Blowback is book two in The Monsters Within Duet - and the conclusion of Bull’s story!
Monica James has dark romance in her blood! Her writing is flawless, gripping, she puts you through the wringer, emotional roller coasters - simply everything!
This duet is an absolute MUST read if you’re into dark & steamy! I loved it.

I freaking love Bull Sooo Much!!!
This conclusion had me all in my feelings! It was intense and suspenseful. It was sad and beautiful! I love when a book pulls vastly different emotions from me! Monica you freaking killed it with this duet!
Seeing Bull’s struggle in Blowback was heartbreaking at times! He’s out for vengeance but he’s feeling things he doesn’t even know how to ponder! The vulnerability you she in him is Ah.. Everything! Don’t get me wrong he still kicks ass and takes names! I just love the diversity of his emotions we see.
“We’re just Lily and Cody—two lost souls who found something beautiful in utter destruction.”
Tiger is a fierce woman and I loved seeing her come into her own. Put her insecurities away and tell them to F off!
She was a key factor in Bull figuring out who he was and how to navigate life! While finding herself in the process.

What an epic conclusion for this duet.
Monica James delivered in the second half to this masterpiece that is the Monsters Within Duet.
Blowback dives in right at the end of Bullseye's epic cliffhanger. This book delivered so many plot twists that I had to keep reading until I reached the end. The number of emotions I felt reading this book was insane, and never in my life have I cried over a side character as I did in this book. (You'll know who when you read it).
I absolutely loved Lily in Blowback. If you thought she was a fierce tiger in Bullseye, you haven't seen anything yet.
Bull and Lily continue to deliver on their lust, hate, love relationship throughout the book. There is plenty of dark elements; revenge, violence, redemption, jealously, vicious games, sadistic characters, competition. And each of them was delivered beautifully. I highly recommend this duet for any reader who wants a dark romance with plenty of suspense, heat, and emotional connections to the characters.
Once again 100/5 stars for Monica James.

The ending to this Duet was perfect! I think we were all rooting for Bull regardless of the things he has done.
Like I said in my review of Bullseye, this is not my normal type of read but it was surprisingly so good! I didn't want to put the book down until I knew how it was going to end.
Monica keeps the story flowing and full of action so that you do not get bored while reading. It is definitely a gory and violent story so as long as that doesn't bother you then you will love this Duet.

This duet is the definition of a dark romance. This is the conclusion to one of my favorite duets by far. It's filled with darkness, emotions intensity, revenge chemistry and all the things I need out of this duet. Even though this duet was a huge page turner, like book 1 this book was a little slow for me in the beginning but then once things picked up I didn't want to put it down. The romance between Bull and Tiger was even better in this book, it developed even more and I could really feel their connection that was just as hot in book 1. Bull and Tiger go through so much throughout this duet and it shows just how great their characters are. I love the conclusion to Bull and Tiger's story and this makes me even more excited to see what Monica has up her sleeves for future romances! I highly recommend this duet and definitely recommend reading book 1 first or you'll be very confused.. actually just read everything by Monica!

| Wow! This book is epic. The epic conclusion of Bull and Tiger's story. Miss James is master at twisting plot. Until the very last, she still managed to rip the rug under so I have to hold my breath on the conclusion.
Despite the layer of plot/ twist, I am blown away with the story. I can breath easy now knowing the HEA. I do not want to tell more in my review because I do not want to give the spoiler. Just read this book. This is awesome.

After finishing Bullseye I have been waiting for this one. I couldn’t wait to dive in and see how Bull and Tiger’s story would play out and boy, it was nothing like I was expecting in my mind.
Bull and Lilly’s relationship is not an easy one. It is full of ups and down, twists and turns and will probably give you whiplash, but it is worth EVERY SINGLE MOMENT! These two have some ridiculously hot chemistry and I love them together, but I also love them as individual characters.
Lilly is strong, she isn’t some weak heroine. I love that she doesn’t back down easily, she is willing to fight for what she wants and who she loves. Despite the pain and suffering she used that has motivation. Bull is such a damaged hero, however, you can’t help but love him. To root for him.
This book and this duet are dark, twisted, addicting, hot, suspenseful, action packed, emotional, beautiful and everything you could want in a twisted dark romance. The quest for revenge brought these two individuals together, but that same quest can also tear them apart.
