This was a fun book! I didn’t really like the middle but I loved the start and the end was pretty decent. Thought the start was the best and then it felt like it fell out of Grady’s control. I’m not the biggest fan of that trope though.

So great and bad ass.
Loved the heavy metal vibes and the classics. Even loved the mention of cannibal corpse. Was a pretty great ride through the horror and music. Very much loved when you come to find out who they really sold their sold their souls to.

Alright, so this review is going to be very negative, but there are parts i liked that helped me finish this book.

To start us off, i have realized without a doubt that i can't stand the way grady hendrix writes women! He always rights woman main characters in his stories but overly sexualizes them and infantalizes them its insane! I can't stand it!

The plot of this book was decent, and the mystery kept me holding on, but the dual pov and the way the women were handled was too much for me to give this anything higher.

On a more light note... i dont think Grady knows anything about metal or the scene... just the way he wrote about it was wrong on so many levels and paints a terrible picture of all people who like darker harsher sound. (Also petty point, but most of the metal bands he said were not metal)
