This was very bad. I am stunned it has such a high rating on Goodreads. The way people spoke was giving YA novel. None of the characters are likable, it feels like there was attempt to throw every possible storyline a book could have into one book. The ending is really lackluster. I really can't explain how much I hated this book. Thought about DNFing but I did not want this book to break me down to that point.

The main character: complains most the book she didn't get a promotion she was absolutely not qualified for, never knows where her cat is, thinks it's casual to enroll a kid that's not yours in school

The sister: somehow still can't come to terms with the fact she is the reason she went to prison.

I honestly just feel like the whole thing was dramatic, like she thought her siblings weren’t okay so she called the police, and like idk why that was such an issue bc I feel like she did the right thing

I was planning on rating this a 3 star before I finished. It really bothered me
how much Natalie regretted calling the police that night. She did the right thing. THEY WERE DOING HEROIN. That’s not weed. That’s insane. I also did not like Teensy.
I didn’t dislike this book, but I would recommend a hundred other books before this one.

A predictable family drama with a little bit of romance. The main character was frustratingly unable / unwilling to self advocate.
