I may or may not write a full review for this one, but I see a lot of myself in both Poppy and Alex. Also, idk if it's just me, but Alex definitely reads as autistic.

I really liked this one!
I was so happy I finally got to read it, and after the prologue, I did not touch it for like a month. Because, of course, I was reading something else.
But then I got back to it and it took some time to immerse myself again. But after that, I kept asking myself why I didn't pick it up sooner. It was so heartwarming!
And gosh, Alex <3
Do I have to say more?
I really liked the story and the way the flashbacks were told, even though I had some understanding problems with it in the beginning.
But this is the start of me reading more Emily Henry books in the future cuz I'm hooked. She did it.

This book had me smiling and laughing out loud! I loved the banter between Alex and Poppy, and the flashbacks to their previous vacations. I could see a lot of myself in both characters which was nice!

I fell in love within the first 5 pages and have marked sooo many lines.
I loved that Henry has so many references of how awful Ohio is through Poppy’s character; as a fellow Michigander and midwesterner, we all talk crap about Ohio 😂

I didn’t know until recently that Henry and I share an Alma Mater, Hope College! She was a senior when I was a freshman which is so cool to think about and love the book that much more 🥹😍

I loved every second of this book, honestly I can’t think of anything I didn’t like or felt was missing. I’m curious though to see what’s different in the UK version, You and Me on Vacation, and which version I would like best. 10/10 perfect summer read

I think the reason I don't usually pick up friends to lovers romances is because the friendship isn't usually believable. I feel like usually it's just two people who have wanted to bone from day one, but chose not to for various reasons, until eventually... they do. I ended up marrying my best friend from high school, so maybe I'm more picky because I've actually experienced this particular trope. But Emily Henry wrote the most beautiful friendship between Poppy and Alex. Yes, there were underlying feelings over the course of their twelve year friendship, but the glue that held them together was so much more than physical attraction. Also beware, this book will give you crazy wanderlust.

This book is super cute! It perfectly fulfilled my craving for a romance novel. I love the friends to lovers trope and this book does it really well. The writing and the witty banter were also excellent.

SpoilerMy one disappointment was that the buildup to what happened in Croatia was not justified at all. Once I found out what happened, I was like, “That’s it?” It felt a bit anticlimactic, not to mention it was an unrealistic reason to stop speaking to someone for two whole years.
