Could be a bit cliche and repetitive at parts but was overall a fun read.

A great start to a series. Blake Sinclaire was not meant to fall for the smart Hansen girl but true love isn't stopped by family disputes. It is great to get to know Maddie and Blake and watch them work through their fake, real love story. This book has family secrets and drama, but it is also funny, steamy and romantic.

Not terrible. I liked the premise, just a lot of whining and some frustrating moments for me with the lack of communication and the characters living in limbo with secrets. Also just a lot more lust than plot.

New author Tessa Layne WOWED me with this book! I actually didn't realize she was a new author when I picked up this book but when I got to the end and was looking for more reads from Ms. Layne, I was super surprised to realize that PRAIRIE HEAT is her first. The book's written really well, I had to keep turning pages well into the night! The premise and plot is interesting, sweet and swoon worthy sexy all at once. The sexual anticipation between Maddie and Blake is a slow burn until I just finally melted!!
