I liked this one better than 'I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings. I didn't know most of what's in this book, so it only added to Maya's rich history and character.

Interesting memoir about an exciting time in Angelou's life when she moved to New York, then abroad to Europe and Africa, married, and cared for her son, but didn't progress what would be her own career as a writer and poet.

Maya Angelou is a fantastic writer, a national treasure, and has an interesting story to tell.
